I think that part of the drama is also perpetuated by how ABA has become so many things due to it being what things need to get called a lot of the time for insurance purposes, which leads to people not believing one another when they've gotten vastly different interventions in different practices. Additionally, while I do think that we can get a bit pedantic and jump to conclusions much too quickly in a lot of these discussions without giving the benefit of the doubt, particularly when it comes to parents of newly-diagnosed children or who just aren't inclined toward researching stuff, parents have to also do their part to stop tone-policing us.
