I'm convinced at this point that most of the "autism at work" programs are really more for the corporations thinking they can just pay through the nose to get a pool of talent that they see as quiet and easy to manipulate/exploit while getting to brag about their DEI optics. If they really had our best interest in mind, it wouldn't be like pulling teeth to convince the people running these initiatives that being self-employed is frequently the best thing for us.
