I'm torn about this. On one hand, I have absolutely seen way too much autistic advocacy, especially the informal kind on social media, focus way too hard on nitpicking terminology. On the other, I think we need to hold enough space both for lightheartedness and the less pretty parts of civil rights work and that it's not helpful to have either extreme of toxic positivity or tragedy porn. I think that "neurospicy" falls more under the former and what I like about its emergence is that it came from us and not neurotypicals engaged in some kind of euphemistic circle jerk trying to make themselves feel better.
