I've been on the fence about getting pregnant one day for a while, for a multitude a reasons, one of which is my intersection of marginalized demographics. Not only am I Black, but I'm also a trans person having to contemplate undergoing a process that a transphobic society so staunchly genders, and also have disabilities, two of which have a strong chance of affecting how I would experience pregnancy and the care I receive. People are damned if they do, damned if they don't. There is so much pressure to have biological children, yet it's so hard to safely access when one belongs to any marginalized group.
