What are your suggestions for an autistic adult who usually books flights and flies independently, but struggles to initiate phone calls with strangers when it comes to accessing the helpline and the DPNA? I've been considering what I might need to make my airport experience smoother for a while, especially since I've been flying a lot more after starting my graduate program, but struggle to find any info that doesn't assume I'm always traveling with a parent. I'm also nervous about reaching out to one of these programs and folks assuming I'm reaching out on behalf of a child I do not have, which has happened a lot whenever I have to deal with some kind of administrative thing around autism, and it can be stressful to clear up.
